Printing is a physical process. This page explains, in plain English, why printed color and cutting are never mathematically perfect.

Why the print looks different from my screen
Screens create color with light. Printing creates color with ink or pigment sitting on a physical material. Two very different systems, so colors seen on a phone, tablet or monitor may not perfectly match printed output.
Screen color is usually described in RGB, while printing works in CMYK and the inks available on the press. Very bright blues, greens, oranges and neons are the most common colors that look different once printed.
Device calibration matters too. The same file can look different on two phones sitting side by side.
Reasonable commercial tolerances
Like all commercial print operations, we work within reasonable production tolerances in:
- Color
- Cutting and contour accuracy
- Alignment and registration
- Finished dimensions
- Material appearance and texture
Small variations within those tolerances are normal and are not treated as defects. If specific numeric tolerances apply to your project, we will confirm them with you in writing.
Brand and special color matching
Exact brand-color matching may require special arrangements, such as supplied color references, a printed sample, or additional setup time and cost. We do not guarantee Pantone matching unless we have specifically agreed to it for your order.
Why my reorder looks slightly different
Separate production runs can vary slightly due to material batch, printer calibration, ink, environmental conditions and finishing. If pieces must match exactly, order them together in one run.
